Problem:

With operations across the globe Fluke needed an efficient way to fulfill and distribute daily requests for product literature to members of its global marketing team.

Solution:

J Street designed and implemented a Literature Fulfillment system for Fluke Corporation improving customer service and providing significant cost reductions. This workflow management system imports requests from Oracle and Onyx Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and fulfills requests for product literature on a daily basis. The application fulfills each request using email or physical mail (or a combination) based on a set of business processing rules. The system tracks the electronic documents needed for each response and automatically generates the appropriate batches of mail merge letters.

To build this application, J Street initially conducted interview-style meetings, documented existing workflows, designed new workflows based on the client’s specific needs, and constructed and successfully implemented the integrated database application.

Although this system fulfills hundreds (or sometimes thousands) of requests every day, only one employee is needed to run the system! Since moving to email fulfillment, Fluke Corporation is saving thousands of dollars per month in paper literature and postage.
